Culture
The culture of Parkside is difficult to sum up in a paragraph. The people here are not only the best at what they do, they are kind and willing to help.
Parkside is devoted to furthering the professional and personal growth in all of its employees, which was demonstrated to us by the following events they provided us:
NextGen Day at the Fed
On Friday, July 19th, we had the opportunity to spend the day downtown at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Parkside found this amazing opportunity for us and provided us the chance to attend the NextGen Day at the Fed, for which we are very grateful. Upon arriving to the Federal Reserve Bank, the four of us were shocked at the beauty of the interior of the building. We listened to three speakers as they gave us background of the Fed, an Economic Update which later helped us with our Capstone Project, information on a program that aims for economic equity called Bank On, and an overview of the current banking conditions. We also got to eat a nice lunch where we sat and reflected on our summer as Parkside interns. We agreed that we were extremely fortunate to get to spend time with such a great company. Our day at the Fed was filled with learning, bonding, and even bags of shredded money.
Resume Session
Our resume session with Samantha helped us narrow down what makes a separates a great resume and interview from the average. Samantha sat with us and answered any questions we have about the hiring process. In addition, she did a great job easing our anxieties around entering the industry full time. We really appreciated getting our resumes looked over and feel that Samantha’s willingness to help us make tweaks spoke to Parkside’s collaborative and helpful culture.
