2022 Interns
Rene Brooks
Hi, I’m Rene Brooks and I am from Belleville, IL. I will be a Junior at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) studying Finance and Organization and Strategic Management. At WashU I am a part of a scholar program called the John B. Ervin Scholars. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with fellow Ervins.
I wanted to intern with Parkside because I knew they would allow me to see different aspects of banking that I had not been exposed to before. I’m glad to say I was not disappointed with the various things I have learned in my time as an intern. I am truly grateful to Parkside for choosing me as an intern and supporting me in my time with them!
Deven Pauls
Hello! My name is Deven Pauls and I am from Oakville, MO. I am a rising senior at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO where I am double majoring in Finance - Corporate Investments and Economics. At school I am involved in my social fraternity, my professional business fraternity, and the economics club. I love to spend my free time watching and playing sports, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.
I am beyond excited to have this internship with Parkside because I want to learn the nature of the many financial services that they offer and learn what it means to develop an “uncommon partnership”. Being a student studying both finance and economics, it is exciting to see how both the economy and financial skills are applied to the work that we see here at Parkside.
The culture here at Parkside is not only warm and welcoming, but it is one that seeks to sanction growth and success for its clients, employees, and the surrounding community. This internship is truly uncommon and I already know that I will be able to look back on this experience with new skills, amazing connections, and a better focus on where I want to take my career after college.
Will Lanxon
Hello, my name is Will Lanxon and I am from Belleville, Illinois. I am a rising senior at Lindenwood University where I play baseball and major in Finance. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, hunting, and fishing.
Parkside’s internship stood out to me because it seemed like they really cared about the growth and development of their interns. In my short time here, I have already learned so much and gained experience that I won’t get in the classroom.
Parkside has a great reputation in the St. Louis area and working here you can see why. The workplace environment is second to none with brilliant minds in every department. They truly care about each individual and make everyone feel at home.
Libby Roth
Hi, my name is Libby Roth and I am from Jerseyville, IL. This fall I will be a senior at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Mathematics. At SIUE I am involved in a sorority, and am currently on the executive board. In my free time, I enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
I was interested in the Parkside internship due to being able to experience different rotations throughout the program, as well as getting to hear about what interns in the past had done based on the blog. Parkside has given me the opportunity to apply skills and terms learned in the classroom to real life situations. I have also gotten to oversee and learn about several different positions, which has helped me to get a better understanding of what job I want to pursue.
Everyone at Parkside is very welcoming and always willing to help. The culture is truly different from others and they strive to make personal connections with both their employees and clients.
