Kaitlyn Buss

LinkedIn Profile

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Buss, and I’m from Kirkwood, Missouri. I will be a senior at Saint Louis University, and I am studying Finance and Marketing. Currently, I am the Vice President of Finance for my sorority Delta Gamma, and I am also involved in Alpha Sigma Nu Honors Society and Order of Omega Honors Society. In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family, try new coffee shops, and go on walks.

I was initially attracted to Parkside’s internship program because of its rotational aspect. I know I want to go into Finance, but I am not exactly sure which area, so this internship will help me to decide what I am most passionate about. I also like how much emphasis is placed on mentorship. I will have the opportunity to sit down with someone from each area of business and work with them on real projects. I am so excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to get started!

Matthew Sommers

LinkedIn Profile

Hello! My name is Matthew Sommers, and I’m a rising junior at the University of Dayton, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I was born and raised in Clayton, MO, and I’m excited to be back in St. Louis this summer to gain more real-world business experience. At the University of Dayton, I’m actively involved in Flyers in Real Estate, Alpha Kappa Psi, and Flyer Enterprises. These organizations have provided hands-on learning opportunities that have grown my interest in Finance. In my free time at college, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing the drums, and cooking.

Parkside’s ability to offer a rotational internship immediately caught my eye. With a major in Finance there are many possibilities for the future, and I believe Parkside’s introduction to multiple fields will support me in my career search. I’m especially looking forward to learning more from so many great coworkers. The future conversations this summer will provide me knowledge, wisdom, and professional skills that can’t be taught in a classroom.

Madeline Farroll

LinkedIn Profile

Hi, my name is Madeline Farroll! I am a rising junior at Providence College, where I am double majoring in Finance and Accounting. At school, I am a member of the Honors Program where I also serve as a peer mentor to freshmen in the program. Additionally, I am involved in the Accounting Association, Women in Business society, Colleges against Cancer, and I play club field hockey. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends, go to concerts, run, and play the NYT and LinkedIn games.

I was drawn to Parkside’s internship program for its unique rotational structure. This aspect of the program allows me to explore my interests in a variety of business environments, as well as concentrate on my areas of both strength and weakness. I hope to understand where my skills will be best utilized in the industry and gain exposure to multiple careers, which most other programs do not offer. The strong sense of community at Parkside was evident from day one, and I am sure the mentorships will benefit me in more ways than I am expecting!

Catherine Roth

LinkedIn Profile

Hello! My name is Catherine Roth, and I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I will be a junior at Texas Christian University where I am double majoring in Finance and Accounting as well as minoring in Energy and Business in the Neeley School of Business. At TCU, I have been involved in various academically focused organizations and have served in different leadership roles. I am a member of the John V. Roach Honor’s College, Transaction and Investments Portfolio (TIP) Board, and the Women in Business Network. Additionally, I have served as an elementary school tutor and served on the leadership team of my sorority. In my free time I enjoy getting outside, trying new restaurants, yoga classes, and spending time with my family and friends.

Parkside’s internship stood out to me because of the unique rotational experience as well as the amazing company culture. The rotational experience caught my attention because of the exposure to different disciplines within the finance industry. This will allow me to explore my interests and build relationships with different professionals at the bank. When meeting the staff, it was clear to me how supportive the environment is. I am looking forward to learning and broadening my knowledge this summer!
