Ella Engel

LinkedIn Profile

Hi, my name is Ella Engel and I am from Clayton, Missouri. I am a rising Junior at Colorado College where I major in Mathematical Economics.

On campus I enjoy participating in intramural sports and tutoring local students. I spend a lot of my time outdoors, whether it be hiking, skiing or just reading in the sun.

I was drawn to the Parkside internship program because it gives students the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths in the Finance world all in one summer. I was also very impressed with Parkside's culture and their clear commitment to developing strong relationships; both client and employee facing.

Jordan Jost

LinkedIn Profile

Hello! My name is Jordan Jost and I am from Oakville, MO. I am a rising senior at Lindenwood University in St. Charles and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis on Actuarial Studies and a minor in Ethical Reasoning.

In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, watching movies, playing music, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.

What excites me about my opportunity with Parkside is the chance for me to explore specific areas of my studies as well as the nature of their “uncommon partnership”. As an actuarial science student I’ve studied many of the technical aspects of the financial services industry, and at Parkside I am able to observe the real-world implementation of the topics that I have studied and see how helpful that decisive financial planning can be when based upon sound technical development.

In addition, Parkside’s unique ability to offer a wide variety of financial services and do it well all within the scope of values clearly defined at the company’s inception is intriguing and I greatly valued the opportunity to further explore the financial services industry through this unique and immersive internship program.

Jack Kellaher

LinkedIn Profile

Hi, my name is Jack Kellaher and I’m from Glendale, MO. I will be a junior at the Miami University Farmer School of Business this fall and I’m double-majoring in Finance and Business Analytics.

At college I’m involved as the treasurer of my social fraternity as well as an economics student instructor. In my free time you can finding me grilling, reading or watching basketball.

What originally drew me to Parkside was this intern blog. I found the internship program to be very robust for a community bank and saw a lot of value in the rotational system and the different mentors you have in each portion of the bank.

Parkside describes themselves as an “uncommon partner” to their clients but the culture here is just as uncommon. One week in, I had already felt comfortable asking questions or talking to anyone, from the analyst to executive level. All of these factors has made Parkside an incredible experience.

Emily Wurdack

LinkedIn Profile

Hi! My name is Emily Wurdack and I am from Ballwin, MO. I will be a junior this fall at the University of Alabama where I am double majoring in Economics and Finance. I also started the Accelerated Master’s Program in Economics this past spring.

At school, I am involved in my sorority and a professional business fraternity as well as service organizations in Tuscaloosa. I am a huge Alabama football fan (Roll Tide!) and in my free time I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, and spending time outdoors with my family.

I first became interested in the Parkside internship because of the emphasis on relationships and strong values. From the first day, it was clear that all these statements about the amazing culture at Parkside were 100-percent true. Everybody was beyond welcoming from the moment we stepped into the office, and I immediately felt like a valued and cared for member of the team.

This culture is created from the top down which was clear to me when we sat down with both the CEO and President on the first day and were able to introduce ourselves and ask any questions we had. Everyone at Parkside shows a genuine interest in helping us grow our knowledge.
