Capstone

Our 2024 Capstone Project was to research how changing interest rates affect banking, wealth management, and people overall. We were tasked with preparing a presentation for Parkside employees addressing how they can prepare for declining interest rates and summarizing key findings and recommendations.

Early on in the process of working on our Capstone Project, we decided our goal would be to balance a high level overview of interest rates, but also to go into depth as needed. As a team, we decided to delegate the research to ensure that we were able to do an in depth analysis on each aspect of this project. We worked diligently and efficiently to create the best possible presentation. The first week of the two that were dedicated to our Capstone, we focused more on researching and developing a rough draft of our presentation. The second week, we delivered our presentation many times in front of mentors who would give us constructive feedback, as well as for the purpose of practicing for our real presentation.

After two weeks of conducting research, creating a presentation, and practicing many times, we finally got to deliver our presentation on the last day of our internship at Parkside. We are very proud of the research that we did and delivering the presentation to Parkside felt incredibly rewarding. While we are sad that this is the final day of our internship, we will remember our time at Parkside with extremely fond memories.
