Food Drive

On June 10th, Parkside hosted a food drive from 3-5 PM to support the St. Louis Area Food Bank. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, there has been an abundance of food insecurity in the area. Parkside clients, friends, and family were encouraged to drop off non-perishable items at the Parkside parking alley just off of Maryland Ave. in Clayton. The Food Drive was a great success with $5,035 of donations as well as the food items pictured below. It was also a great to gather with the members of the bank for the first time since we started the internship at Parkside. The “family” culture was on display at the event. There was a buzz in the air as the Parkside team was able to gather for the first time in a while due to coronavirus. Social distancing rules were observed as we stood outside of the Parkside building. It was great to meet members from across the different parts of the bank and see first hand what makes Parkside such a special place - people.
