Do you know where you hope to be in your future post college?
I could see myself going abroad for a few months after graduating, but I also know that I will be hungry to use all the information that I learned during my time at KU. I am hoping that the rotational program at Parkside will help me get to know my own interests and skill sets more in depth and even possibly help me better answer this question in August!
What part of this internship excites you the most?
I am so excited for my ten weeks as a Parkside intern! The capstone project at the end of the summer excites me most because I feel that I learn best when I am put in situations that mirror the real-life application. I am looking forward to putting all my knowledge together and working alongside my fellow interns for that!
What would you like to achieve over the summer?
This summer, I hope to achieve not only depth and breadth of knowledge into the new fields of business that I will be learning about, but also many new connections that will last longer than my time as an intern.
Is there anyone here you really hope to meet, or a specific role you’d hope to learn most about?
I am excited for all my future connections within Parkside; however, if I had to pick a specific role to learn more about, I would choose portfolio management and learning more about different kinds of investment strategies.

Do you know where you hope to be in your future post college?
After college, I hope to be working in the finance field at an entry level position with a client facing role. I’m interested in working with institutional clients in a banking position, but that is all that I’ve been exposed to so far.
What part of this internship excites you the most?
I’m most excited about having an actual impact on Parkside and gaining real-world experience by following mentors and having work of my own. I want to experience the day-to-day operations of a financial institution that can’t be found online through research, but only seen through the eyes of an intern present at the firm.
What would you like to achieve over the summer?
Over the summer, I’d like to gain a better understanding of each rotation at Parkside and be able to form my own opinions on whether a career in one of the rotations would appeal to me after college. Additionally, I want to observe professionals at Parkside to develop my abilities to form client relationships. I also hope to develop relationships with those that work at Parkside and the other interns to really enjoy coming to work every day. Finally, I want to achieve a greater understanding of finance jargon, so that I’m no longer confused at many of the words thrown around when I hear people in finance talking about their job.
Why did you choose to intern at Parkside?
I chose to intern at Parkside because of its learning environment. Not only is there a rotational program to help me see different areas of finance and discern my future career, but there also seems to be great culture with extensive mentorship and guidance throughout the internship. These qualities attracted me to Parkside, and eventually were the deciding factors in choosing to intern at Parkside.
Is there anyone here you really hope to meet, or a specific role you’d hope to learn most about?
I really hope to meet clients in the trust and family office sector of Parkside. I don’t know much about a role in wealth management with individual clients, so that’s an area that I hope to discover. I’d love to see how the relationship between client and advisor works, and how much trust the client puts in an advisor.

Do you know where you hope to be in your future post college?
I would love to be working at either a financial advisory or real estate development firm in a big city (preferably Chicago) as an analyst or some other entry-level job.
What part of this internship excites you the most?
I am excited to rotate through the different offices this summer. While I am confident that I want to work in finance after I graduate, I’m not entirely sure what area I’d like to be in.
What would you like to achieve over the summer?
I hope to become confident in which area of finance I enjoy most. I also hope to form connections and relationships with my mentors and other coworkers here this summer that I can continue to develop even after this internship is over.
Why did you choose to intern at Parkside?
On paper, the rotational aspect was the most appealing aspect of Parkside’s internship. It is unlike many other internships in that way which I think gives it a valuable advantage compared to other internships. Off paper, I have a few family members that work alongside Parkside and their employees, and they have nothing but good things to say about the employees and people at Parkside.
Is there anyone here you really hope to meet, or a specific role you’d hope to learn most about?
My answer is simple- I hope to meet everyone. My goal is to interact with everyone who works in the St. Louis office and maybe even chat with a client. Our mentors have instructed us to take advantage of all the great people working here in the office and I intend to.

Do you know where you hope to be in your future post college?
As of right now, I am not positive where I would like to take my career post college in the field of finance. However, I hope to be in a place with a that values its clients and community, which would allow me to make a difference in the world of finance.
What part of this internship excites you the most?
I am very excited to rotate between programs and work directly with mentors, since I will be able to gain experience and learn about these different areas of financial services.
What would you like to achieve over the summer?
I would like to gain a deeper understanding of each of the financial service industries, and potentially have a stronger idea of what I would like to do post-college.
Why did you choose to intern at Parkside?
Parkside’s internship piqued my interest since it claimed to be an “Uncommon Internship,” one where I will be working with several mentors directly and rotating through different areas of the bank. This aspect of the internship was very appealing and through my interview with the team, I was able to tell that the culture of the team is one that I would like to be a part of.
Is there anyone here you really hope to meet, or a specific role you’d hope to learn most about?
I am interested in meeting with the wealth management and commercial banking teams, as I think that these might be potential areas I would like to take my career. However, I am looking forward to learning about each of the roles and meeting all the mentors here as I complete my internship.
